16 July, 2017
Dear all,
It's been a great festival once again, despite all our shortcomings and limitations, and people enjoyed a true successful
CERNois evening surrounded by colleagues, friends and family. Of course nothing is perfect, so if you would like to make any suggestions,
please send an e-mail to contact-hardronic and we will do our best to make next year's an even better edition.
We would like to thank all the people that helped us make this festival possible:
Daniel Vazquez Rivera on behalf of the Hardronic 2017 organization .
Created in 1989 by Silvano de Gennaro, the Hardronic Festival is the opportunity for CERN Staff, Summer Students, users, their friends and families, to come to the site and enjoy all types of live music, games and animations for kids, delicious food and cool drinks.
It started as a very small event, on the terrace of Restaurant 1 in Meyrin. During the first years, the stage was the platform of a CERN truck, lent by the transport group. As it grew in subsequent years, the Festival had to be moved to a larger venue, on the fields of the CERN Prevessin site, near Restaurant 3.
Every year the festival had a different format: one or two days, one or two stages, mid-July or end of August, etc... but most of the time we've been super lucky with the weather.
A real "CERN National Holiday".

(CERN log-in required)
I have a CERN access card : any person holding a valid CERN access card will be allowed entrance to the Prévessin site for the festival as well as the shuttle service.
I do not have a CERN access card you need to be registered in our guest-list by a CERN member using the guest-list form in our website. The person registering you assumes responsibility for your acts within the CERN site. Once you are in the guest-list you will be allowed entrance to the Prévessin site as well as the shuttle service by showing an id with your full name (as registered in the guest-list).
Can I access the CERN site of Prévessin with my vehicle? The rules for entering the Prévessin site with a vehicle are the same as any other day, this means that if you have not taken the necessary formalities to access CERN with your vehicle, then you will not be allowed to do so during the festival either, regardless of having an access card or being in the guest-list. Please bear in mind that passengers in an authorised vehicle will have to show their CERN access cards as well or be in the guest-list.
PARKING FOR THE VISITORS (cars without the access to the site!)
Please use the GLOBE Parking when you come on Saturday.
No entry to the site with the car will be granted!
Occasional visitors are, by default, entitled to a single (in-out) access to the Flagstaff Car-Park, but are not entitled to park in the P+R area. If they wish to access the Flagstaff Car-Park and the Globe car park again they must apply to Building 33, otherwise they will be refused entry.
